Built the format and content architecture, establishing a repeatable short-form production model designed to scale across coverage of multiple fisheries.
Six-episode branded documentary series delivered through a creative agency for a major consumer brand, across six international destinations. Sourced, contracted and managed international crews, fixers and local vendors in six countries. Cast the series host, ran a ten-person team, and carried the work through client presentations and brand approval.
Operated camera in extreme Bering Sea conditions across thirteen-week seasons embedded on crab fishing vessels, while story producing six episodes and writing scripts. Contributed to 44 episodes averaging three to five million viewers. Four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Cinematography (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014) and a Producers Guild of America Award (2011).
Managed fifteen direct reports across camera, production, field producing, location and medical departments on a ten-episode series, coordinating a crew of more than one hundred and delivering every episode on schedule and on budget. Primary on-location point of contact for network executives. Built and ran the series digital campaign.
Supervised a six-episode series, managing a twenty-five person core crew plus local trade teams. Negotiated and closed vendor and brand partnership agreements worth $40K to $80K per episode, sourcing suppliers, agreeing terms and managing delivery of equipment, materials and installations across remote locations.
Ran production operations across Italy, Vietnam, France, Nepal, Israel and Great Britain over a seven-week international shoot. Contracted and managed local production vendors, fixers and crews in six countries, handling carnets, visas and permits. Secured filming access to highly restricted sites and artifacts.
Lead Camera on a twenty-episode, two-season order delivered across a ten-month production to Hulu, Disney+ and Amazon Prime, meeting the delivery specifications of multiple distribution partners. Ran weekly quality control with post and mentored the camera department.
Operated camera on dive and dredge operations in the Bering Sea off Nome, Alaska, working in cold water and unstable surface conditions on a series built entirely around extreme-environment field capture.
Two original series developed on spec: an educational series on scuba diving and marine biology, and a New England based lifestyle and cooking series. Concept, format, production, camera and edit on both, cut in Adobe Premiere Pro.
